The Philly Wire
With the winding down of this blog, I have gathered the bottom-line information, here. The posts listed below cut to the chase: the cold hard stats that prove that Henry outperforms, not just the rest of the district, not just charters, but the state overall. Need objective proof that your kids won't necessarily do better in a charter, or suburban, or even a high-priced charter school? It's all right here. There are many more posts with useful information throughout Knowing Henry. Parent testimonials. Information about the art and music programs, sports, trips, and more.(some of the posts contain external links to news reports that may no longer be active)How do the academics compare to other schools?... The fake Santa Claus jostled into place the loose bed pillows underneath his bright red borrowed suit. With his body perspiring in the thick costume, he waddled into a fourth grade elementary school classroom yelping a round of his best ho-ho-ho’s. The elementary school children responded favorably with surprise and adulation. Twenty-four hours earlier, the fun-loving man playing iconic Santa Claus provided custodial care by wielding a wet mop in this same classroom. In on the ruse, the teacher welcomed Santa Claus with Season’s Greetings.
“Merry Christmas!” shouted Santa Claus to Jewish and Gentile children alike.
The man playing Santa Claus had a pinch too much entertainer in him for perhaps even the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade. He moved around the... Read the rest of "Yes Jiminy There Isn't a Santa Claus"
Everyone is, of course, in a complete tizzy this morning since we are expected to get an inch three inches or less of snow.

Usually when I refer to M & C Toy Centre products, I discuss the PowerTeam action figures. However, M & C Toy Centre also produces fashion doll lines like Paula, a Kelly-doll clone, and Kari Mitchell, a Barbie clone. Collector MSJ has photos of a new M & C Toy Centre doll shown here. Her post reminded me that I had seen some new Kari Mitchell clothes set - shown below - recently at Big Lots. The doll included in the clothing set has been seen in older sets, but the clothes and the accessories are new. ![]() ... Read the rest of "Kari Mitchell by M & C Toy Centre"
I haven't forgotten my original offer, in case anyone (like, say, quakerfan) is wondering. For true fans of all things Meatheaded, looks like our guy will be heading to Texas, one way or another. Neither park will help much with his FB tendencies, but the state is a great source of big hats for the few cattle he has. And really, didn't we all know that the possibility of signing an overpriced reliever is the easiest ruse to lure Ed Wade into a dark parking lot at night to kidnap him?
And unless I missed a post by not reading carefully, there's still a chance for someone to choose the ... Read the rest of "The Brett Myers Sweepstakes: It's Coming Down to the Wire"
