S'mores – Perfect Fourth of July Confections

S’ mores are yummy, sticky, sweet, warm, melt-in-your-mouth desserts. I love that they are an almost instant gratification delicious, gooey mess -- They only take five minutes to prepare. They are US regional summer treats, which can be made around a campfire, over a grill or in the kitchen. They are perfect confections to make with family and friends during a Fourth of July picnic.

INGREDIENTS:
Bag of marshmallows
Hershey's chocolate bars
Cinnamon graham crackers

PREPARATION:
Toast marshmallows over a campfire or grill and place them on a graham cracker with a piece of chocolate. Take a second graham cracker and squish it on top to complete the S'more. Be careful, toasted marshmallows will have very hot centers.

Here is the indoor version, which is great for those of us who hate camping or aren’t attending a cookout…

Place one graham cracker square on a plate. Sandwich the Hershey’s bar and marshmallow between both graham cracker squares. Microwave it for 15-25 seconds. The candy shouldn't melt down too much in the microwave, but it should get warm enough so that when you remove it from the microwave and press down, the chocolate will melt.

Warning: You might accidentally drip warm, sticky marshmallow or chocolate on your chin. Ask a friend to lick it off for you.
