The Sleeping Angels Fund will be holding its second annual music fest this Friday, August 5th and Saturday, August 6th. Various bands across our area will be playing to help support the fund - including my own - which will be playing August 5th! The show on Friday is in Northeast Philly near Roosevelt Mall and the show Saturday is in Center City. Click for details.
This will be the first time I've played live in a year and the band hasn't practiced - as a band - for all that time until last week. We've been getting as many practices in as possible for this Friday. One of the reasons why I've been unavailable weeknights. We go on first, so for the remainder of the night it would be great to hang out.
The Sleeping Angels Fund was started as a response, to our nephew, Hunter, 3 and 1/2 months old, passing away from SIDS, September 15th 2001, just four days after 9-11. The fund helps families who cannot financially afford a burial memorial after losing a child so young.
