I mentioned in sharing my personal story yesterday that when quitting high school, I didn't know who to talk to, and I didn't ask. Getting and understanding your options is always crucial when making important decisions. Take finding food for example - locally, there are many that don't know they are eligible for assistance and who are caught up among a confusing, competing array of services. City Paper's Doron Taussig has much more to say on the topic in "The Food Maze". It's an eye-opener.
A thank you to those who commented in yesterday's thread and to Blinq, Howard, Andrea, and Young Philly Politics for spreading the news. In a related post today Price at Young Philly Politics comments on the need for quality early education.
