This month's very spooky Philly bloggers' meetup is taking place this Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 3:00 PM. It should be a spooktacularly good time with other local influencers (as I shall now call bloggers henceforth). The food is good, the beer is flowing, and the conversation isn't all that awkward (other than when I chime in).

Hey - I know there was some discussion of leaving Meetup b/c they are charging. One of the other Meetups I'm part of has created a Yahoo Group to monitor the activity and plan events. Just a thought!

We did get chastised for
We did get chastised for eating doughnuts -- does that count? And I would have thought for the money we brought in during an otherwise dead stretch of business, they'd show a little deference, especially considering they don't serve doughnuts. The bartender said we couldn't have them, at which point I was tempted to ask if he could order up a dozen from the kitchen instead... (and still we tipped well)
But it was an otherwise stellar event -- a few new faces seem to show up every time, and Chris kept us entertained during the quiet stretches with questions about food names containing military ranks and fish pants.
