From the Philly Future mailbag, another way to help while enjoying an evening out tonight:
Bambi Gallery plays the “hurricane card”…Location and contact info:
Coming hot-off-the-heels of their wildly successful and widely attended Gala Opening, the Bambi Gallery presents a POSTCARD ART SHOW!!!
All proceeds from donations will go to the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund. ArtCard prices start at an initial price of $5.00US. Card entries from around the country, and a few from the international community, have been pouring in to the Bambi Gallery mail-room. ... The opening reception will be held Friday, December 2nd at the gallery space from 6p.m.’til 9:30p.m.
Attendance at the Gala Opening far exceeded projections, hi-lites from that show (and future functions) can be viewed at www.bambiproject.com . It was THE place to see-and-be-seen in early October in Philadelphia…and the initial forecasts for the PostCardArtShow seem to indicate another packed house, another “ya’-had-to-be-there” Friday evening in the making…another can’t-miss capacity-crowd in Fishtown.
While you’re at the opening, why not peruse the inventory of locally-crafted items and accessories they have on display there?…fashions cutting-edge starts in Fishtown. There will be snacks and beverages served on the veranda…but not a buffet, n’kay ? Come out to support local (and global !) artists...and in-turn help those FEMA has forgotten.
