ANOTHER PA Dog Breeder violates Puppy Lemon Laws....

On December 22, 2006 I too purchased a male bully pup (nautica)from traci murai in Douglassville PA. When I went to pick up my puppy she was not ready for me, treated me rude,threatened not to give me my puppy, then was sorry and claimed she was too stressed out. At pick up he had cherry eye & had MAJOR HEALTH ISSUES which I was unaware of that is still costing me hundreds of dollars. From Severe Allergies in the skin,Interdigital Cysts,Aortic Stenosis (heart problems)Elongated Palate,and Lick Granuloma are just a few. I did not seek money regarding his heart surgery. The only passion she has for the animals is the dollars sign in her eyes.

When I was contacted about Nautica and his heart issue I told you I would replace him and you clearly told me NO you did not want him replaced. Did you not tell me that you had cancer and since going through that, you wanted to keep him and go through this with him? I have that email as well. I only did what yo uasked and requested of me. Now I get a bad review becasue of this?

Interdigital cysts are common in the breed and are not due to the anything realted to DNA. In addition lick granulomia is from you dog licking himself repeatedly and is not realted to anything with DNA. I back all my puppies. I am not going to make someone give up a dog they have if they do not want to. You said you were ok with it, it was by your request that you keep the puppy and did not want me to do anything about replacing him. Now you bash me for your decision?

As far as me being rude I was not going to sell you the dog because you camped out infront of my home for two hours after I told you not too becasue my children were at home and scared that a stange SUV with dark tinted was sitting outside. You also know why I was not home. I was delayed at the airport like I told you beforehand yet you decided to drive to my house. I told you I would call you whne I was on my home home and you decided to drive to my home anyhow and sit there for two hours while my children were terrified. This is my home. Its not a place of business. To just showe up unannounced number one. Two, I apolitely asked that you leave from in front of my home until I arrived. When I arrived you asked me to give you a puppy without him being bathed and I clearly told you no I would not do that he had to be bathed, nails cut and shots given. Now if I had given you the puppy without a bath and nails cut like you requested I wold have heard about it here as well. Then your husband got on the phone screaming and yelling and cursing at me from the car and told me to refund your money. So I said I would no problem. Then you yelled no youwanted your puppy and you two went back and forth. I was not going to go through that with you in front of my home where my children live.

Next I told you I would cover the cost of the cherry eye repair. Did I not? Why is it that only half the stories get told when complaints come out? Why is it that people make decisions that we later get blamed and bashed for? I am appauled at this becasue did you not stand the kitchen of my home and we hugged and both apolgized to each other? I see yours was fake and not genuine. Mine was.

People think they can just say whatever they want and it not be in full truth and detail. Do you not understand that this is slander and that there are laws against this?

I am not a bad person, I am not a mean person, I am not money hungry and I am not malicious. I am very caring lady and those who actually know me know better.

do you comply with the puppy lemon law in PA? if so, then you should be fine? does your contract comply with or contradict the puppy lemon law in pa?

also, pets are not just something to be "replaced" if defective are they? as humans we become attached - dogs aren't just furry accessories with legs and tails. what happens when someone returns a "defective" dog to you? do you keep it alive, adopt it out, put it in rescue?

how often do you breed your bitches and how many litters before you retire them? when do you impregnate your bitches? are they adult females or still puppies themselves? what kind of genetic testing do you do?

If you are on the up and up why were articles researched and written about you stating the contrary?

Main Line Animal Rescue is very familiar with puppy mill dogs and puppies, as they rescue more dogs and puppies from mills then you ever wish to know about.

Finally, an update on that Oxford, PA breeder that this blog talked about before: we hear that this guy relocated to South Carolina and may be setting up shop again, and does anyone else have any info?

Excuse me. If you knew anything about me you would not have to ask those questions. So point proven. No I am not in SC and that was not what this was about. I first and foremost do rescue on my own out of my own pocket without tax breaks and donations. I number one donate a substantial amount of money to the ASPCA, the Humane Society and Bulldog Rescues ALL OVER THE US! I number tow do not make people give back puppies with defects to get a replacement. That is up to the buyer. If the dog comes back it is repaired as best as can be then spayed neutered if possible and then adopted out to a family willing to take on the issue. Yet the fact that you have to ask tells me and other who know me exactly how much you know. I never over bred, never bred too young and I never throw away a dog. My dogs are spoiled rotten and well taken care of. Once again, you do not know any better because you have not been here nor do you know me. As far as coming out to defend myself throughout all of this insanity and mere attack I know what is true and what is not. I am a mother of fabulous children and when you have crazy animal rights people making death threats to you over email, helicopters flying over you house and TV cameras zooming into you bedroom window, with your address all over the internet there comes a point where safety and security for my family is more important than being right. That will always come second to my children! That is why I have been so silent thought all of this until now. I have had the PA. State Atty General here, AKC here twice, Humane Society here, USDA here, and the Pa. Dog Warden here several times. My dogs are well taken care of not to mention loved. I passed all inspections each time without problems, I have never had animal cruelty charges nor did anyone ever charge me with any kind of miscare or neglect of my dogs. FAR FROM IT! NEVER EVER! Check it out for yourself. People just dont know what politics are involved with this.

People also dont understand or accept that yes from time to time puppies or dogs will fall sick. They are living, breathing, Godly creatures. Children are born with defects and fall sick too but no one is going to blame the parents. Its part of life. Its a very sad part of life with any living creature. People dont want to realize that some breeds have more possible inherent risks of health issues. If you want heavy duty maintenance free car you buy a Ford pick up truck. You dont go buy a Rolls Royce which is higher maintenance. People many times dont want to take responsibility that dogs require maintenance and that many trimes should fall on their shoulder and that its not necessarily anyones fault. Its part of the responsibility we take on when deciding to own a dog just liek when we decide to have children. There has to be a degree of responsibility taken on by a dog owner having made a conscious decision as well as the breeder. Its not just one sided. Accountability and responsibility has to be fairly shared.

Yes I know there is and by very misinformed, hypocritical, SELF RIGHTEOUS people with their own set of skeletons hidden in the closet. Just like the people posting this stuff on the internet. I dont pretend to be perfect nor do I want to be. But I am merely human with a good heart. Enough said.

I get so angry hearing people complain because their puppy has health defects. PEOPLE breeders are not GOD! They do not have a crystal ball to determine which puppies are going to be healthy and which are going to be sick. How can you blame someone for a puppy being born with a defect that shows up after the puppy leaves the breeders care. It just is crazy to me that we can EXPECT puppies to be born healthy and perfect without defects when babies are born daily with all types of defects and children are dying daily with leukemia and other types of cancer. My husband was born with a heart defect so who should I blame! My mother in law? I mean come on! It sounds so much like a broken record and you just keep blaming and complaining! Life is not always fair and things do always go as planned. Anyone of you or anyone else may wake up tomorrow with Cancer! Who do you BLAME??? So, think about what you say and who is to blame when the puppy your bought has a common issue that thousands deal with daily! Dont be so quick to judge anyone and be responsible and think about your actions before you go on here and try and belittle someone because that person may have children and a family that wouldnt want to see any of this! Think about how would you feel if your children saw what you are doing to someone else and how you are talking so low about another person. Cant you take it for what it is and and move on! Breeders are NOT Miracle workers!
