West Philly native and former Major League umpire Eric Gregg passed away last night following a stroke he suffered Sunday. He was 55.

A List of Things Thrown Five Minutes Ago offers some thoughts and links on Philly's favorite umpire. Dils suggested yesterday, "If he does not recover, the world will miss Eric Gregg." And, especially here in Philadelphia, we will.
