Why does the media give a platform to extremists?

I guess Ted Rall doesn't make it on anyone's radar these days?

People aren't inviting him to news programs to ask his opinion on the political state of the country.

If they did - they same media organizations would deserve the same criticism.

I was expecting Michael Moore. He's been compared to her in some circles. I think unfairly - but that maybe a matter of perception - which lends truth to your point. The fact is he isn't invited, anywhere near as regularly, to news programs for his opinion on the state of the country.

So I'm up for other examples.

Ted Rall is syndicated in a hundred and forty papers. Among them the New York Times and the Daily News... and the Washington Post until they dumped him.

Three comics a week... One column a week.

His whole career is based upon current political state of the country.

Ann Coulter or Ted Rall? I had to look this guy up.

And just because someone in the media, who happens to have a left bias, agrees with Ann Coulter, doesn't make it right. It's hateful and callous in both instances. That Ted Rall cartoon is most certainly inflamitory bullshit ment to get a rise.

My question has to do with the media putting her on Good Morning America, the Today show, or half the cable shows that have to do with politics. She's entirely legitimized in the eyes of many as a journalist, and it is reinforced by the media.

Ted Rall is cartoonist man :) Not to belittle cartoonists. Images can have impact. But you can do better. There has to be better right?

Nobody is saying Ann Coulter is a journalist. She's been a commentator long before anyone cared about her books (or had books).

But to answer your question, the media are WHORES.

They are willing to do or say anything to get people to buy their product or watch their shows. It doesn't matter if it's GMA, Today, Ann Coulter, CNN or brand X. All they care about is you watching.
