Philadelphia News and Views YOU Write - Urbi et Orbi

More local reaction on the newspaper sale

Via the CityPaper's blog, so cleverly named 'Clog': Extra! Extra!.

Clog is a group blog effort by their staff writers. It's integrated into their site, so you know it's CityPaper when you visit, but like the Inquirer's Blogspot efforts, doesn't allow enough of the individual writer's personality to come across. Each writer should have their own blogroll, favorite links, and some design elements to set them apart. The Philadelphia Weekly is going a great job of this with their three blogs. I really like the Daily News's approach to this as well, with the unifying branding element being their growing button bar.

Kudos to the CityPaper on using Wordpress. Similar to the Inquirer's Blinq, Daily News's blog efforts, and Philadelphia Weekly's choice of Moveable Type, Wordpress is a great DIY blogging platform.
