(UPDATE: Nominations are now closed, but members can vote in the poll until this Sunday at 5 p.m.)
It's that time again. And it will be until about 5 p.m. this Friday. Comment with your nominations. (Read on for more intructions.)
- Independent locally-based blogs (or blogs of local interest) are eligible as long as...
- they have not already been featured (a list of previous Featured Blogs appears on a blogroll here)
- and they did not appear in our most recent poll
- Use this thread to nominate, or second the nominations of, blogs that you think deserve to be featured (but please refrain from criticizing other valid nominations)

2nd for Tattered Coat
The coat's out of the closet!!!! YES, we gladly second http://www.tatteredcoat.com/ for featured blog!
thanks, but . . .
I very much appreciate the nominations, but as a member of the Philly Future staff, my blog is not eligible for "Featured Blog" status.
I second the nomination of merecat, though, and would like to add The Ballad of Yoko, Badminton Stamps, and PSoTD.
not to be too contentious, but
are Philly Future staff members actually excluded from nomination, Howard? Such that it is, that rule has not ever been stated for Featured Blog nominations.
Perhaps this is ex post facto, but both Blankbaby and Dragonballyee had earned Featured Blog status (and rightfully so, I might add), and they are staff members here.
Methinks you are modest, Matt. But thanks for the nomination, too.
It's unfair in a sense
Scott and Albert were featured before they became team members :(
One thing to consider is that each team member is already featured on Philly Future.
Reversing this train of thought - one thing we've discussed is how those that are featured can take a more prominent role on the service, down the line.
Unlike a magazine feature, where an item is printed and then done, the web is about connections and relationships. Being a featured blogger can mean more then appearing in a special aggregator here and having your headlines on the home page.
Yoko... I nominate you today: http://balladofyoko.wordpress.com/

There might be a problem with the last one though. 100 Records might not want to be involved. That's a shame because it is downright terrific. The only music blog I follow.
one more for tony!

What Karl said was dead on.
What Karl said was dead on. It's not a rule that's posted, so maybe it should have been. That rule is partly to keep it from seeming like there's any sort of site endorsement when members cast their votes.
That aside, I do think there's a certain unfairness to excluding Matt's site, simply because it's a very deserving blog.
