The new Franklin Square is now open adding to the most historic mile in America [and a World Heritage site!]. The new Philadelphia Park Liberty Carousel [with 30 horses], mini golf [with Philly landmarks], two playgrounds and Philly eats [I'm guessing 'steaks and hoagies and water ice] are all open [10a - 9p] for everyone to enjoy. It's up on 6th and Race Sts. I love me some mini golf and I'm gonna try to get in a game this weekend, but it'll surely be crowded. I'd simply like to get a look at this place.
A cool little thing you can do to be a part of this last of Billy Penn's parks is have your name engraved in a brick which will line future walkways within the park. The cost is $100 and it will help pay for the costs to make the restored 19th Century fountain come back to life. The bricks are 4" x 8" - more info here on that.
Did anyone make it out for the opening ceremony? Anyone planning on taking in the newly renovated square in the near future?

nice use of the location tool
great job :)
imagine if a number of similar posts went up and we built a script to collect the locations into one map, and display that map on Philly Future.
it's doable.
