I work in the worst block of the Avenue of the Arts - the 100 block of North Broad. We're just waiting to be knocked down for the Pennsylvania Convention Center expansion, it's nothing but vacant building after vacant building for most of the block.
Here are a few things I saw last week on my walk from Suburban Station to work during the week.
Monster Philly (8/14/2006)
Monster.com and Philly.com have gotten together for the classifieds on Philly.com - leading to a big promotion in Love Park.

Right To Serve protest (8/16/2006)
And at Broad and Cherry at the Armed Services Recruiting center - The organization Right To Serve protests to make people aware of the plight of gays in the military ending in an arrest.
My question - why in this day and age are we eliminating people who are willing to serve and protect our country? It's plain ridiculous.

I'm going to try and do this weekly - wish me luck.

do what weekly?
protest or document? either way, rock on.
Document
I wasn't part of the protest. Sorry for the confusion.
This a great idea
a real slice of Philly from the ground level - good stuff.
