Islamic group expresses concern over '24'
The Council on Islamic-American Relations [CAIR] has a bone to pick with the producers and writers of the Fox Television series '24'. The new season opened by depicting a series of terrorist attacks against the United States. In an insane flight of fancy, the producers of the show decided to depict the terrorists as being of Middle-Eastern descent. CAIR charges that the story line unnecessarily stirs the pot, and puts Muslims in a bad light.
When was the last time you saw a group of natives from the Amazon gather to chant "Death to America"?
That long ago, huh?
Then let's take a look at some of the things that do make the radicals take to the streets.
A cartoon depiction of Mohammed - Yep
A cleric calling for a Fatwah - Yep
Anyone, anywhere, shouting the word Jihad - Yep
An attack on any US Embassy in the world - Nope [except to celebrate]
The collapse of the Twin Towers - Nope [except to celebrate]
Televised beheadings of western civilians - Nope [except to celebrate]
Etc, etc, etc...
CAIR is right, Fox has a lot of nerve.

Cartoon from Sid in the City

Unreal
The next thing you know, Osama bin Laden will complain that he doesn't get a fair shake in the American press.
