You may have heard about this already, but it's news to me.
SEPTA has released two new features on their website - the ability to view the status of individual (Regional Rail) trains along with the ability to plan your trip by entering starting and finishing addresses, covering elevated and subway systems, regional rail, light rail, and buses. Alas, no Google Transit as of yet.

...but it's still got a long ways to go
I appreciate the ability to plan my trip on SEPTA, but more often than not, it doesn't recognize the address I've entered. And I'm not going to give them that much credit, seeing as every single large public transit system already had this feature.
for example,

San Francisco: http://bart.gov/stations/quickplanner/quickplanner.asp
Los Angeles: http://www.mta.net/default.asp
