As the father of a child who is absolutely in love with Thomas the Tank Engine and all the toys he has, I can't let this go without mentioning it.

Fears about lead poisoning from paint triggered the recall of nearly 2 dozen different Thomas & Friends toys.
# About 1.5 million units of the affected toys were sold between January 2005 and June 2007. The recalled toys are: Red James Engine & Red James' # 5 Coal Tender

# Ice Cream FactoryThe recall involves wooden vehicles, buildings and other train set components. The packaging has the logo "Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway" on the upper left-hand corner. A manufacturing code may be located on the bottom of the product or inside the battery cover. Toys marked with codes containing "WJ" or "AZ" are not included in this recall.
If you own one of these toys you should take it away from children and contact the company, RC2 Corp., for a replacement toy.
