Seriously?
Seriously?
Will you also be posting a sign asking cars not to honk their horns in your neighborhood? Will you ask cars to turn their loud radios down? Will you ask people in the street to stop yelling? Will you ask planes/helicopters not to fly over your neighborhood?
Do you think people that live next to trains/subways asks SEPTA to turn the down the volume of the train cars?
Like SEPTA, Ride the Ducks has become part of the city ambience. People come to the city just for this. Our city is a tourist attraction and you should be proud of all the wonderful attractions that make our city what it is today.
Yelling in the streets with a megaphone is JUST AS ANNOYING, but you do it, don't you?
Please don't misinterpret what I am saying here. I understand your complaints. But the manner you're doing this is so unprofessional and inappropriate. Noone is going to take you seriously unless you have a serious no-confrontational talk with the people who run this. I'm sure that you, without ALL of this hype you're trying to stir could make a difference by simply:
1. Getting your official petition
2. Schedule a meeting with the head of the company with you alone
3. Having a mature conversation where both parties listen
4. I bet that they will make a change
The more you try to blow this matter out of proportion, the longer your battle will be. Philly has a lot more worries.
For example read this about our beloved city: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18278063/
