Comic Energy continues their 8th season with "MarchAmania!"

Comic Energy proudly presents their annual "MarchAmania!", Saturday night March 29th at Doc Watson's Pub (216 S. 11th Street) beginning at 7pm.

The troupe is currently very busy, performing weekly on South Street and monthly performances at both Doc Watson's Pub and the new Paddywhacks location at 150 South Street (beginning on April 4th).

Coming off a very successful Shubin Theater run titled "A Cruise To Nowhere!", the group is looking to get back to the popular in your face slap stick humor that has made Comic Energy, 'The Attitude of Philly'.

"It's very exciting, MarchAmania has historically been one of my favorite shows to put together", says director James Daly.

And put together well, as Daly mentions that this show is a complete team effort.

"It's no longer about just putting a script in someone's hands and saying...okay, show me what you got. We do countless revisions in our rehearsals to make sure we get it right."

This performance is a continuation of the sketch comedy troupe's 8th season in Philadelphia which concludes in May.

This current Comic Energy cast has quite a mix of characters from the leader JD Daly to young performers like Danielle Jackson add veterans that build a big presence such as Johnny Smith and Zac Ross, a standup comedian in Katie Horahan and Comic Energy favorites Mike Ford, James Reagan and Frank Fral; and you have what Daly says a recipe for success.

"MarchAmania" will be performed Saturday night March 29th at Doc Watson's Pub beginning at 7pm with an encore and a longer version of the performance coming to Paddywhacks the following Friday (April 4th).
