In today's Philadelphia Inquirer is a story about Witness to Hunger a program of Drexel University that distributed digial cameras to 40 women in North Philly to document their stories, and in the process expose the realities of living in poverty in North Philadelphia. Imagine if the project's next step was to enable these families to publish to Flickr and YouTube next. It would enable them to reach wider audiences and raise awareness so much further.
Thursday, on my personal blog, I took note of two efforts that share some real life stories of those living in Fishtown and Kensington. Stories I can personally relate to on a few levels.
