After a very successful run last Summer, the Teen Board at Oxford Valley Mall is bringing back the outdoor concert series, featuring local area bands on select Thursdays and Fridays from 7pm – 9pm, throughout June, July and August. Concerts will be held outdoors around the fountain outside Entrance 1 at the Mall, weather permitting.
To kick off the series, on June 19th from 5pm – 9pm there will be a Battle of the Bands in partnership with Middletown Township Parks & Recreation Department. Two Stages will be set up with one band performing every 30 minutes. A total of 8 bands will be selected to perform in the finale on June 19th! Winning band will be guaranteed a time slot in the Summer Concert series, along with other prizes to be supplied by the township.
The Summer concert series itself features a wide variety of music from folk to rock and even metal bands. Most are high school and college bands from the area looking for additional exposure and a place to showcase their talents.
