Philly role in adopting Kyoto Protocol Standards

This is my first blog entry on this site. I left a comment right after registering but answered it on my own within a few minutes.

I'm at work right now but I want to add something that might be of interest to some. It's about Philadelphia Mayor John Street and his opinion on the initiative by Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels to adopt the standards of the Kyoto Protocol and adopt them city by city, mayor by mayor.

I picked up on the stories Sprouting Sedition: Cities Adopting Kyoto and 131 Cities Adopting Kyoto on DailyKos.

I contacted Phila government and inadevertently got transferred to the Media Affairs Department. Well...before I start copy/pasting all of what I posted on my site (I know, you gotta visit yet another site!), how about just hoping over to my site and taking a look?

Good post, intriguing possibility

Welcome to the club -- it's great every time a new voice can be heard here!

I think this is a very interesting approach to environmental reform (as long as the feds don't do anything to step in and screw it up). It's worked in other areas of law, and since, as a nation, we haven't yet gotten on board with Kyoto, this would be a good step in the right direction, IMO.
