Before the last Philadelphia Blogger Meetup fades from memory I thought I should post about it, and how successful it was. It was our most successful meetup this far in terms of attendance and in terms of use of the word 'blog.'
Before I go into detail about our last meeting I just want to point out that while this meetup is associated with PhillyFuture (hence why I'm posting about it) it isn't limited to folks who participate, or are interested in, Philly Future. I want Philly bloggers of all types to come and enjoy each other's company. If anyone has any ideas on how we can get the word out please let me know.
We descended upon the Independence Brew Pub like a swarm of prolific locusts and we ate, drank, and talked for a few hours. Amongst the attendees were:
Dan of BlinqBecky of Good Grief!
Frank of iFlipFlop
Mark of The Long Cut
Tony of mere cat (though he made a very brief appearance)
Karl of paradox1x
Albert and Kate of philly, dragonballyee, urge for going, and Messy and Picky (they're busy people!)
Chris of Rowhouse Logic
Star of Sarcasmo's Corner
Josh and Rebecca of SkaroffBlog
Howard of the smedley log
Matt of The Tattered Coat
Scott of Blankbaby (hey, that's me!)
If I have forgotten anyone it is because of my horrible memory and not because I don't like you or your presence was insignificant.
Now, no meeting of bloggers can be complete without those bloggers then going home to blog about said meeting. Read all about the meetup from Josh's, Albert's, Star's, and Chris' perspective.
Don't you wish you were there? We will be having another one next month, so watch this space for the announcement.

Cool Russian hat!
-or maybe just a Russian hat for cool weather? Anyway, it fits the title I suppose; as long at you're the Czar, I guess it goes with territory...

Fixed
The post is reflect your additional 47 blogs, dragonballyee. :)
Howard, I was in Russia when that picture was taken! Pretty cool, huh?
sorry I couldn't make it
I'm in Washington for the summer (it's where I'm originally from-- gasp!) so I won't be at a Meetup until September. But I wish I had been there because I think it's really cool that Dan Rubin wants to hang out with us.
yes, nice hat
but bad memory--I was there, too!
Glasnost, baby...
That is pretty cool -- did you buy the hat, or just borrow it from a newfound comrade?
Sorry Matt!
I just fixed it. I think I must have drank too much! Of course since I don't drink that probably wasn't the reason.
Communists Don't Buy Things
I actually just tried it on in a store. Sadly, I do not own the hat.
thanks
thanks, Scott. I think that Annakin Skywalker played some jedi mind tricks on you that night...
